About our counselling Services

Our philosophy and practice are grounded in person centred values. The core conditions of empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard provide the right environment and support for each individual, helping the client to move toward self-determination, autonomy, and maximum potential.

We provide an integrative psychotherapy service. This means that we can draw upon different counselling methods and approaches to equip and inform the client with the skills and knowledge to overcome personal issues and challenges.

We offer a specialist service of working with mental health, sensitive to a wide variety of needs. This includes, depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, personality disorders, schizophrenia, psychosis and hearing voices.

This may involve addressing the stigma of initial psychiatric diagnosis, helping to find solutions or developing coping strategies for often ongoing and distressing symptoms.

You may want to share confidentially about a loss, a bereavement, a traumatic event, or a difficult family issue, or something long standing that has never been resolved or dealt with.

You may have lost your way in life and want to share about personal beliefs, essential to the meaning and purpose of life and self-identity.

How to book an appointment?

If you would like to book an initial appointment, there is a referral system in place. One of the Church Pastors, or our Parish Nurse makes these referrals to ensure that there is a system in place. This may mean that there will be a waiting list created going forward depending on demand.

We provide an initial free assessment, followed by the option of six further sessions, on a sliding scale of affordability to pay that will be discussed upon your initial appointment.
